Covid-19 has changed many plans in 2020 for people all over the world and will also influence the near future. We apologies for being rather quiet on the blog during the last 6 months. Despite this, the EST group has been continuously working, extending the amount of zoom meetings to new heights. Many papers are in the writing, submission and revision process, including the Cochrane review. The RCT is under development, including a possible co-operation with Swedish colleagues. We will present them in a blog post of their own.
We are having great and important discussion
about the nature of stuttering, and acknowledge the challenges with that and
the implications each choice has for the next step. Nobody said that research
was easy, but planning intervention research with kindergarten children that stutter
still gets us to brainstorm, re-think and counterbalance methodological issues,
ethical considerations and practical possibilities (or limitations).
We had also a meeting
with the reference group of the EST project on September 24th, presenting updates and progress about the
project, discussing important choices and definitions for the project.Participants from the reference group meeting in September
The project group has for
quite some time discussed the possibility and wish for having some blog post in
Norwegian also addressing the Norwegian context of the study, as well as
starting a Q&A section in order to interact with our readers directly. This
was also supported by the reference group. Hence, we will give it try.
Enjoy the autumn, stay
healthy and follow the upcoming blog posts from a “safe distance”.
